GSI3D Software and Data
Software: GSI3D v2011 is available to download as a demonstrator version for Microsoft Windows. This version is free to download
and use and is functional, but it is limited to five geological units and ten cross-sections, which is flexible enough
for creation of a small evaluation 3D model.
The demonstrator version of GSI3D can be upgraded to the full version at any time by joining the consortium.
Upgrading is an activation process and does not require a second installation.
Short-term trial licenses are
available on request, please contact us for more information.
Details of the terms and conditions of the demo and trial license options
are available on the terms and conditions page.
v2.6.3 projects are forward-compatible with v2011. Users with
an existing v2.6.3 license should consult the installation and activation
guide for details of how to obtain a digital license to start using v2011 straight away.
For details on some of the new features in v2011 either download the user manual or refer to the quick-reference guide.
The download is a ZIP file. Unpack the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary location on your computer and double
click on Setup.exe to install the software. For additional detail please refer to
the Installation and license activation guide in the documentation section below.
Data: A free package of basic sample data is available that will show you how data can be formatted, compiled
and calculated into a simple 3D model within GSI3D.
The data download is a ZIP file.
Unpack the contents of the ZIP file to a suitable location on your computer.
